Import EDF in Micromed

Create EDF

From Neuralynx files

  • Transform .ncs files into .edf files with the matlab function epiShare\core\Nlx_ncs2edf.m

  • The electrode name must be "EEG name" if you want to be able to rereference with Micromed.

  • if you need a fixed specific montage (avg or bipolar), create it with matlab and save the .edf file with the correct montage

 

Import with Micromed

  • Launch Micromed SystemPLus ir BrainQuick

  • Select a local server (does not work with an external hard drive or dataserver)

  • Go to Fichier -> importer -> fichier EDF

  • Select the file to import

  • Specify the patient information needed. If you intend to merge the data with an existing patient, the information must be exactly the same.

  • Import

  • Copy to external hard drive or data server if needed

    • select file

    • copy to hard drive

 

Add new drive/server on Micromed

  • On the hard drive, create a folder were the Micromed Database will be stored

  • On Micromed:

    • right click in the Ressourcessection

    • nouveau -> auxilary data

    • define a name in the Description section

    • select path to the newly created folder on the drive : chemin -> Recherche ->

    • select Oui

    • If hard drive mounted for the first time, a popu will appear with the message Initialisation? . Select Oui, this will initialize the database in the newly created folder. It will not erase anything on the hard drive.
